Braid Trim Velvet Jacket & Skirt Set

Velvet high neck jacket and skirt set by Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. Fitted velvet jacket with a high stand collar and lightly puffed sleeves is trimmed in three rows of metallic gold braid and appears to have been designed within the years surrounding Saint Laurent's iconic Russian Collection. Slightly flared peplum waist with sculptural gold metal shank buttons that lend an artisan aesthetic to the set. Matching high waisted velvet skirt has a side zipper with button closure and slash pockets. Both pieces fully lined. We would wear with a silk blouse, tall boots, loads of eyeshadow, and a wool cape for the full effect. Black, gold.
